Optymist's take on electronic music has been strongly influenced by hip hop mixing style. A perfect technique and a love for scratches became Optymist�s trademarks, which he successfully implements into tech house, minimal,electro.

- Optymist
Pawel "Optymist" Mazur is a school of music graduate. He has been a fan of various music styles since his earliest years. In 1999 he started organizing club parties in Swidnik, his home town. Initially he was involved in hip-hop music. In a short time he gained recognition among music community for his efficient organizing skills and establishing connections with ease. His competence was recognized and confirmed in the papers of XL magazine (in an article entitled (The best organized parties of 2001). Simultaneously with the emergence of "Mono", a club in Swidnik founded in 2002, he took interest in techno vibes. The experience which Optymist acquired as a hip-hop DJ had a huge influence on his technical skillfulness. His mixes abound in scratches which he constantly improves. His sets are a mix of tech-house, tribal techno and pumpin. This combination of styles results in a superbly energizing dose of good music. Since October 2003, together with a drummer Tomasz Deutryk and a bongo player Grzegorz Drozd, Pawel forms "Intrus Group". Concurrently with becoming interested in techno music, Optymist started arranging parties in this mood. The results could be noticed soon: at the moment he is organizing tours around Poland and various parties in the Lublin region. He is the creator of "SOUND FACTORY" a series of events which feature the brightest stars of club music, such as Donnel Knox, Pacou, Cave and many more.
